Happy Weekend!

Happy Weekend!

Howdy people-Happy Saturday and weekend! Hope you are all getting to enjoy it in some way. Here in Northern Nevada the weather people were actually right for once! Since every storm that is coming is the “storm of the century” and the biggest hyperbole word ever, I wasn’t expecting much, but it has been a good one (and still going). Definitely needed it here. All of this meant a chill day at home with the fam doing whatever, which is nice. I’m not real good at “doing nothing,” but it is severely underrated, at least in my book. I had my trusty London to help me do some shoveling (pics) and that was cool. She’s a good sport and lets me pelt her with snowballs the whole time, which is therapeutic for me, since the boys are too big now and will throw them back (and hard lol). That’s all I’ve got for now so enjoy the rest of your day and talk soon.

Hey-quick thought I had earlier and wanted to share-I saw an article today (pic) about a 33yr old football player who died of Stage IV colon cancer and without diving too deep into the story, I just had to wonder if he knew (or cared) about alternative treatments? Did anyone in his life point him that way? Did he do what he was told by his doctors and not question? These are always things I think about when I see stories like this. I’ll make sure I am clear when I say that I do not claim to have all the answers, nor do I claim that my way is the best/only way, but I can say with absolute assurance that if I did what I was told to do, when I was told to do it and without question, I would not be writing this or sharing any of this today. Take it as you will, but there is not one way to fight this battle, and people a lot smarter than me don’t always see it that way, and for many, many reasons. I have been blessed enough to have people around me who are smarter and study much harder than I so I can only hope that information gets out there to those who need it–it might give someone a better chance…like me. Thanks for the listen on that.

Amen! I’m so glad you have those people in your life to help you fight better and harder. They are the bright lights in all this, right?! I appreciate your blog and you telling your story along the way. It’s a precious thing, you know…. when someone shares their difficult journey. I’m keeping you all in my prayers!

Thank you!–I’m super glad that I can get the story as out there as it is so far and add any new information that I can in real time! After all, this isn’t even close to finished–I know that if I, in a different situation than I was, would have been introduced to this “different” way of care in the beginning, I would have at the very least asked some questions that I otherwise wouldn’t have thought to. That is what I hope to help bring to someone else. Just a chance is all anyone needs to get started!-Thanks for reading and following-appreciate it.
