Side Effects Are ROUGH

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give the latest update on our Champ…..

On Friday, Brian suffered a pretty severe allergic reaction during treatment and has had a few rough days since.

He’s hanging in there, but could certainly use all the prayers for the extra strength needed to get through this rough patch of very harsh side effects.

We continue to feel great about the progress of his treatments and are looking forward to his body getting a break. He’s worn out…. but hey, they don’t call it a 4 Week Boot Camp for nothing! It’s supposed to kick your butt while it HELPS you.

He will still have the one remaining day to “make up” since he missed it while being hospitalized the last time. But he’s getting a much needed break for now.

Of course now, the home regimen begins. Lots and lots of supplements to continue the forward progress as well as 2 injections per week that I will be administering. The PICC line will remain in place for now as we will have a 3 day followup session in about a month. I will also be keeping that maintained at home. I am starting to feel very nurse like 😉

This is a very long road and some days are much tougher than others. But, I can say that each and every day that I get to love on this amazing man and walk alongside him on this crazy journey, I am so very grateful. We have much better, brighter days ahead…. it’s just getting through these rough ones that I know makes us that much stronger, together.

As always, we know that the Lord is in control. He’s got this. All of it. Every last detail is covered by Him and His amazing grace.
